Trip Summary

Overview

Iceland in winter puts Deplar Farm at its most raw. Snow-draped peaks, aurora overhead, the Troll Peninsula wrapped in Arctic silence — and from this former sheep station, now one of the world's most discreet private lodges, the whole of it is yours to explore. Private guides lead snowshoeing expeditions through untouched terrain, cross-country ski routes along frozen rivers, fat biking through crisp cold air, and whale-watching charters along icy fjords. Between explorations, a geothermal infinity pool steams beneath the Northern Lights, and the lodge's floatation tanks and full spa offer deep restoration. Evening dinners are Nordic and intimate: chef-prepared feasts with local Icelandic ingredients, served by candlelight while snow falls outside. Five nights for two, with all meals, guided activities, equipment, and round-trip Akureyri Airport transfers included.
