Trip Summary

Overview

Five nights in Northern Iceland for the whole family, at Deplar Farm — the Troll Peninsula's most acclaimed private lodge. The midnight sun means the day never really ends, and your family's itinerary is designed to use every hour of it. Horseback rides through the Fljót Valley, kayaking across mirror-still fjords, light hikes through wildflower meadows with glaciers in the distance, and a whale-watching journey along Eyjafjörður, where humpbacks and puffins appear at the edge of the Arctic Circle. An interactive cooking class with Deplar's award-winning chef brings the family into the kitchen together. Optional extras — heli-sightseeing, glacier rafting, a family photo session by a professional — add another layer to an already exceptional stay. Evenings gather around family-style dinners of Nordic seasonal cuisine, then stories by the firepit under the open golden sky. All meals, guided activities, gear, and Akureyri transfers included.
