Trip Summary

Overview

Designed for travelers who prefer to experience a destination from within its landscape, this journey moves through Cuiaba and Amazon with energy and purpose. Begin in Cuiaba, allowing the destination's character to unfold through privately arranged experiences. Expert-led travel crosses three ecosystems, from Cerrado savanna to Pantanal wetlands and Amazon rainforest. For a more active perspective, a privately guided hike explores Chapada dos Guimaraes' waterfall trails on a shared guided national park tour. From Cuiaba, continue through Chapada dos Guimarães, Pantanal and Sao Paulo before reaching Amazon for the final chapter. Expert-led days focus on tracking jaguars, alligators, and nocturnal wildlife on Pantanal's guided day and night safaris. Time on the water introduces canoeing the Amazon by night tracking sloths and caimans, and watch for river dolphins by day. Accommodations, private access and the pace between Cuiaba and Amazon can all be tailored to create a journey that feels entirely individual.
